Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients while maintaining professional accountability. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. This full-time day shift role (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) requires prolonged standing and walking, with physical demands including gripping, reaching, bending, and squatting. Applicants must hold a current Missouri RN license and an accredited nursing degree.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
Desired Qualifications
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
