Job Summary
Registered Nurse (Hospital-Based) provides nursing care to patients across age groups using the nursing process and nursing practice standards. Administers medications per licensure, collaborates with the care team to plan and implement individualized, age-specific care plans, and ensures patient safety and high-quality outcomes. Plays a role in discharge preparation and patient/family education, mentors students and new staff as needed, and participates in performance improvement activities. Requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and KY RN licensure; BSN preferred. Two years of hospital patient care experience is preferred. Part-time position based in Louisville, KY.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program (required)
- Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) accredited by the American Heart Association (may be required for specific clinical areas)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (may be required for specific clinical areas)
- Note: additional, specialized certifications may be required or preferred based on unit
