Job Summary
Manage patients receiving chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, fluids, and blood products by reviewing MD orders, performing pre-procedure assessments, and administering medications with 95% medication scanning and 100% patient scanning. Coordinate care across the continuum, develop treatment plans aligned with provider goals, and educate patients and families on discharge instructions. Provide telephone triage for symptom management, process prescription refills, and coordinate infusion pump orders. Monitor patient reactions, document care accurately, and report abnormalities to providers. Support less skilled staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active WA State RN License or Active Multistate License (MSL)
- Approved 6-Hour Suicide Prevention Training Course Completion
- Screenshot of submitted demographic data using the Washington State Multistate Nurse Demographic Data Survey
- BLS Required
- Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card required, to be obtained within 30 days as part of department orientation
Desired Qualifications
- BSN Training and Experience
- At least one year oncology/infusion experience preferred
- Oncology Certification (OCN) preferred
