Job Summary

Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of nursing care after completing a nursing program and before licensure. Will be required to obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation from an accredited school of nursing to remain employed in a hospital system in Missouri. Promotes patient and family centered care, educates patients and families on illness management and post-treatment home care, uses nursing skills to assess and respond to physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, develops and implements plans of care, evaluates patient responses, and participates in activities ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in the ambulatory oncology setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree (Nursing) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Completion of nursing program and licensure within 90 days of graduation
  • Active eligibility or license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Missouri (to be obtained/maintained)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing may be preferred or required by unit policy
  • Ability to provide direct patient care in ambulatory care oncology settings
  • Ability to collaborate with healthcare team and adhere to standards of nursing care
