Job Summary
Provide patient care using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld consistent with Mercy service standards. This Full-Time Neurology role includes a 36-hour week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Candidates must hold a current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and an accredited nursing degree (BSN preferred). Sign-on bonuses of up to $20,000 are available for experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
