Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients on the Neurology 8E unit, maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other departments. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards, including the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly while standing, walking, and bending as needed. Requires current Missouri RN licensure, BLS certification, and an Associate, Diploma, or BSN in Nursing. Full-time day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 for experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
