Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned Neurology patients while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care across departments. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and uphold patient rights and confidentiality of information. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards, including lifting up to 50 lbs and engaging in prolonged standing and walking. Maintain current Registered Nurse licensure in Missouri and hold Basic Life Support certification. Schedule is full-time, 36 hours per week, day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
