Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, maintain professional accountability, and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Maintain a full-time schedule of 36 hours per week during day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Requires a current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and an accredited nursing degree.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
