Job Summary
The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Works within organization policies and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. Coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care. Role is supported by required state licensure as an RN in Georgia, BLS, and unit-specific ACLS/PALS/PEARS/other certifications with initial certifications to be completed within specified timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program (RN)
- RN - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure (required)
- BCLS - Basic Life Support (required)
- ACLS Certification (required within 180 days for certain units)
- PALS/PEARS as applicable (required for certain units)
- Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred; 1 year in hospital setting for PRN positions required
- Advanced certifications section includes unit-specific requirements (e.g., Emergency Department, Oncology, Dialysis, Pediatrics, Surgical Services) as addenda
