Job Summary
Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patient, family, and group requirements. Deliver patient care using the nursing process while effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members. Manage nursing resources and serve as a leader on the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. Adapt communication styles and procedures to specific patient populations, ensuring respect for privacy and cultural diversity. Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local laws to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement
- Must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Must be able to lift 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Must work in an area where patients enter
- Must work directly with patients
- Must work with specimens that could contain communicable diseases
- Must remain knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility
- Must ensure compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards
- Must report any known or suspected unethical or questionable behaviors or conduct
- Must report patient/employee safety concerns
- Must report patient privacy concerns
- Must report other compliance-related concerns
- Must reside in an area other than Colorado, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, Washington D.C., or be eligible for on-site work
