Job Summary
Provide patient care for adults with conditions including cellulitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, chest pain, gastrointestinal issues, COPD exacerbations, and medically stable COVID patients. Utilize the nursing process to maintain professional accountability and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Perform duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and service standards. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with prolonged standing. PRN schedule available at Mercy Hospital South.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Nursing Diploma
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
