Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining organizational standards of practice. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff to ensure quality delivery. Maintain current Georgia RN license, BLS certification, and one year of hospital nursing experience required for PRN roles. Schedule flexibility is available for this part-time position.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program
- One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BLS certification
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PEARS or PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU – ACLS
- PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- BLS required only
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
- PALS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification – prior to independent chemotherapy administration
- PEARS or PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Athens Hospital
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU – ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
- Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
- Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period
