Job Summary
Assess patient conditions during admission and each shift, promptly reporting status changes. Recognize and treat illnesses and injuries per operating instructions, administering prescribed medications while monitoring therapeutic responses. Perform procedures ordered by providers, ensuring thorough documentation in the EMR and maintaining infection control protocols. Collaborate with physicians and hospital teams to coordinate compassionate, efficient care. Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and security of proprietary information. Notify assigned physicians of any condition changes. Requires active Texas or Compact RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 2+ years of Medical Surgical unit experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English welcomed.
Required Qualifications
- ADN, BSN Required
- Active and unrestricted current Texas or Compact RN License
- 2+ YRS experience in Medical Surgical Unit, Acute Care preferred
- BLS, ACLS Required
- Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required
- Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high paced environment without physical limitations
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time
- May require bending, stooping, and lifting as required for patient care and transport
- ADN, BSN from a University, or an accredited School of Professional Nursing, Required
- Current Texas RN License
- BLS, ACLS, required
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ YRS experience in Medical Surgical Unit, Acute Care preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English welcomed
