RN, Med/Surg (Per Diem, Variable Shift)

Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards and the nursing process. Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff while coordinating care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment. Collects relevant health data, analyzes assessment information to determine diagnosis and care issues, and develops plans prescribing interventions to attain outcomes. Implements care plans, coordinates delivery, and evaluates progress toward patient outcomes. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a safe, healing environment, providing learning opportunities and direct health information. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and delegates duties appropriately to team members.
