RN - Med/Surg - Part time - Weekends Only

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols by systematically evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice. Establish effective relationships with patients, families, and significant others to facilitate unique care plans. Use the nursing process to develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care, including collecting assessment data, determining diagnoses, and identifying expected outcomes. Develop assessment and management strategies based on physical, functional, cultural, social, economic, developmental, spiritual, vocational, and leisure dimensions of human responses to health problems. Utilize leadership skills to coordinate with the interprofessional team in assessing needs, setting goals, planning interventions, and evaluating outcomes. Educate patients and families on measures that promote, maintain, and restore health. Foster a healthy work environment by serving as a mentor and role model for nursing colleagues, students, and others. Apply evidence-based practice to ensure care is delivered based on patient age-specific and clinical needs. Perform point of care testing as assigned. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
