Job Summary
Coordinate the plan of care for assigned patients and delegate tasks to supervise other staff. Utilize the nursing process to perform patient care while consulting the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. Demonstrate proficiency in policies and guidelines for primarily orthopedic patients, including overflow from general surgery and medical cases. Maintain full-time day shift status with 3, 12-hour weekly shifts. Join a nationally recognized team with Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement replacements.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS) Associate Degree
- Full Time Day (United States of America)
- Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, MO
- Medical Surgical - Ortho team
- Day Shift (3, 12 hour shifts weekly)
- Utilizes the nursing process
- Performs patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff
- Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients
- Consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
