Job Summary
The staff RN provides nursing care to patients across the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, coordinating activities with all assigned staff to ensure quality care in a hospital setting. Responsibilities emphasize adherence to organizational policies and procedures, professional growth, accountability, and maintaining standards of practice while coordinating patient care activities and ensuring safe, effective nursing care during night shift for Med Surg patients.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure (Required)
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License (Required)
- BCLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Required within 180 Days for Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty)
- PALS Certification (Required in certain units within 180 Days)
- NRP by end of orientation period in Women’s/NICU units where applicable
- PALS/PEARS where specified by unit (within 6 months)
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Upon Hire)
- NICU/NAT requirements where applicable (within 180 Days)
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU ACLS; PALS if applicable (within 180 Days)
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS and related certifications (within 12 months)
- General requirement of hospital nursing experience or new graduate eligibility
- Keen emphasis on patient safety, coordination, and lifecycle care
