Job Summary
Lead patient care using the nursing process, assess learning needs, and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing resources effectively while adapting communication styles to diverse patient populations. Evaluate outcomes using data to promote change and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards. Maintain knowledge of current regulations and report any safety or privacy concerns immediately. Requires current RN license and BLS certification; no prior experience needed. Available for sign-on.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement
- Must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds constantly
- Must be able to work in an area where patients enter and works directly with patients
- Must be able to work with specimens that could contain communicable diseases
- Must be able to handle exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue
- Must be able to handle exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Certification in clinical specialty area
