Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult medical patients using the nursing process, including small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, and pneumonia. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care with other departments. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy mission and service standards. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift 50 lbs and stand throughout the shift. Night shift coverage from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, full-time 36-hour week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
