Job Summary
Deliver patient-centered care on the Med/Surg night shift by conducting thorough assessments, administering medications, and monitoring for side effects. Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans, respond to medical emergencies, and participate in life-saving interventions. Provide patient and family education on medical conditions and post-discharge care while adhering to infection control protocols and operating medical equipment. Document all findings and interventions accurately in the medical record. Maintain regular attendance and comply with all organizational policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
- Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care
- Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
- Must be available for Night Shift
