Job Summary
Own the nursing process from assessment through evaluation to deliver personalized, evidence-based care for patients on the Med Surg unit. Build meaningful connections with patients and families while contributing to staff engagement, performance improvement projects, and shared governance initiatives. Guide fellow nurses through mentorship and competency assessments, and lead the charge in applying evidence-based practices to shape care protocols and reduce readmissions. Plan proactively across the full patient care journey to ensure efficient use of resources. Requires a BSN, RN license, BLS, ACLS, and 2+ years of Med Surg experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BSN from an accredited school
- RN License (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
- BLS from AHA
- ACLS
- National Certification in your specialty
- 2+ years of recent Med Surg experience
- Experience with computer data entry
- A+ interpersonal and communication chops
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic tech tools
- Calm under pressure
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and evidence-based decision-making
Desired Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited school
- National Certification in your specialty
- Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems
