Job Summary
Med Surg RN for Wellstar's W.E.S.T. Float Team (Full-time, Day shift) across multiple Georgia campuses. Responsibilities include owning the nursing process from assessment to evaluation, delivering evidence-based care, building connections with patients and families, leading performance improvement initiatives, mentoring colleagues, and participating in governance and research activities. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN license (compact supported), BLS and ACLS certification, and 2+ years of Med Surg experience with comfort using Epic and 3M systems. Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and time-management skills are essential; the role emphasizes teamwork, education, and continuous improvement within a high-demand clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- RN License (Single State or Multi-state Compact) — Required
- BLS from AHA — Required
- ACLS — Required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Required)
- 2+ years of recent Med Surg experience — Required
- Experience with computer data entry — Required
- Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems — Preferred
