Job Summary
Own the nursing process from assessment through evaluation to deliver personalized, evidence-based care while building meaningful connections with patients and families. Drive top-notch outcomes by applying clinical expertise to current best practices and participating in performance improvement projects, research opportunities, and shared governance initiatives. Mentor fellow nurses and guide interdisciplinary teammates through ongoing education and competency assessments. Plan proactively across the full patient care journey to help shape protocols that reduce readmissions and ensure the efficient use of time and resources. Requires a BSN, RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications, plus 2+ years of Med Surg experience. Join the W.E.S.T. Float Team at Wellstar to support the most integrated health system in Georgia.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BSN from an accredited school
- RN License (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
- BLS from AHA
- ACLS
- 2+ years of recent Med Surg experience
- Experience with computer data entry
- A+ interpersonal and communication chops
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic tech tools
- Calm under pressure
- Strong critical thinking
- Time management
- Evidence-based practice
Desired Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited school
- National Certification in your specialty
- Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems
