Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients on the 30-bed Med/Surg unit, maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care across departments. Manage a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6 while addressing conditions including GI, oncology, post-op recovery, COPD, pneumonia, UTI, dehydration, and complex wound care. Work full-time days shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, lifting up to 50 lbs and standing throughout the day. Earn a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced nurses or $15,000 for new graduates, plus premium pay and shift differentials. Supported by Patient Care Associates on every shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
- Must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- BLS – Basic Life Support (or within 30 days of hire)
- Any unit-specific certifications (with timeline for completion)
- Regularly lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Prolonged standing/walking throughout shift
- Ability to bend, kneel, twist, squat as needed
