Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult medical patients with diagnoses including small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, cellulitis, diverticulitis, and pneumonia using the nursing process. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care with other departments and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and service standards. Requires current Missouri RN licensure, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with prolonged standing. Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
- Night Shift availability (7:00PM-7:30AM)
- Full-Time employment availability (36 hours/week)
