Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical Float Pool is responsible for assessing, managing, and directing nursing care for patients across various units. Key responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, developing and coordinating care plans, administering medications, and ensuring effective communication with healthcare team members. The RN is expected to provide patient education and discharge planning while adhering to safety and infection control protocols. Candidates must possess a valid RN license in Missouri and have BLS certification, alongside a strong foundation in Medical Surgical nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to work as an RN in the state of Missouri
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a nursing role
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Medical Surgical nursing
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
