Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Med Surg facility float pool using the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model. Coordinate care across departments while maintaining patient rights, confidentiality, and adherence to the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and Mercy Service Standards. Perform duties consistent with established nursing guidelines, including lifting and turning patients, with requirements to stand, walk, and perform significant bending and stooping. Maintain current RN licensure, three years of experience, and BLS certification. Work full-time days with potential schedule flexibility based on patient care needs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program
- Current RN licensure with State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice or current temporary work permit in the applicable state of practice
- 3 years RN experience
- BLS certification
- Stand and walk most of the time on duty
- Meet unit specific physical demands
- Significant amount of bending and stooping
- Lifting and turning patients with assistance
- Push, pull, and grip up to 40 lbs.
- Pinch up to 10 lbs.
- Kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
