Job Summary
Provide patient care for assigned patients using the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate care across departments and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with nursing practice guidelines, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, and Mercy Service Standards. Requires current RN licensure, three years of experience, and BLS certification. Involves significant physical demands including lifting, turning, and moving patients up to 40 lbs. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program
- Current RN licensure with State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice or current temporary work permit in the applicable state of practice
- 3 years RN experience
- BLS certification
- Stand and walk most of the time on duty
- Meet unit specific physical demands
- Significant amount of bending and stooping
- Lifting and turning patients with assistance
- Push, pull, and grip up to 40 lbs.
- Pinch up to 10 lbs.
- Kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
