Job Summary
Provide patient care for assigned patients across multiple units using the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model. Coordinate care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with nursing practice guidelines, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, and Mercy Service Standards. Work full-time days with a schedule that may include differing shifts, days of the week, or frequency according to patient care requirements. Meet physical demands involving standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 40 lbs, and turning patients.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program
- Current RN licensure with State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice or current temporary work permit in the applicable state of practice
- 3 years RN experience
- BLS certification
- Stand and walk most of the time on duty
- Meet unit specific physical demands
- Significant amount of bending and stooping
- Lifting and turning patients with assistance
- Push, pull, and grip up to 40 lbs.
- Pinch up to 10 lbs.
- Kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
