Job Summary
RN Med Surg Diabetic Endo role at Medical City Dallas (HCA Healthcare): Provide high-quality, patient-centered care as part of a multidisciplinary team on a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends. Responsibilities include assessing patient condition at admission and during shifts, administering medications, documenting care, responding to patient needs, and educating patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up care. Collaborates with providers to deliver comprehensive care within established nursing models and acts as an advocate to ensure positive clinical outcomes. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program with BSN within 24 months of hire, active Texas RN license (or compact), BLS certification, and at least 1 year of acute care hospital experience; BSN required within 24 months. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Associates Degree acceptable to hire, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Current RN license in the state of Texas or compact license
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- 1 year acute care hospital experience
