Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining standards of practice and coordinating activities for all assigned staff. Function within organizational policies to demonstrate professional growth and accountability. This role supports the Med Surg unit at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, serving patients across the full lifespan.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program
- No experience required
- New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- 1 year in a hospital setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PEARS or PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- BLS required only
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
