Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining standards of practice and coordinating activities for all assigned staff. Function within organizational policies to demonstrate professional growth and accountability. Maintain current Georgia or multistate RN licensure, BCLS, and ACLS certifications, with additional specialty-specific credentials completed within 180 days or by orientation depending on unit. New graduates eligible for positions with one year of hospital experience preferred for PRN roles. Located at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate from a nursing program
  • No experience required
  • New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
  • 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support
  • ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days
  • ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days
  • ACLS and PALS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification - prior to independent chemotherapy administration
  • PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Columbus Hospital
  • PEARS or PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Athens Hospital
  • PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
  • BLS required only
  • Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
  • NRP by the end of orientation period
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
  • NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
  • Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable
  • CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
