Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for medium to high acuity patients with a 5 to 6 patient ratio under the Nurse Leader's direction. Develop teaching strategies for patients and families, document education in health records, and utilize the nursing process to incorporate family-centered care principles. Provide quality care while adhering to Corewell Health policies and vaccine requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing
- Bachelors in Nursing
- MI Registered Nurse (RN)
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role
- Must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must comply with the MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
