Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for a 38-bed Med Surg unit treating renal issues, abdominal pain, post-op patients, and psych cases. Develop teaching strategies for patients and families, document education in health records, and discharge patients while adhering to Corewell Health policies. Maintain patient safety and partner with families to set care goals. Requires an Associate or Bachelor's in Nursing, NCLEX licensure, and BLS certification. Night shift rotation from 7:00pm to 7:00am with variable weekend frequency.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing
- Bachelors in Nursing
- MI Registered Nurse (RN)
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS)
- NCLEX licensure examination
- at least one year of acute care experience
- at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role
