Assess, plan, and implement nursing care while continuously monitoring patients to ensure comfort and anticipate their informational and emotional needs. Guide and direct healthcare personnel in patient care tasks such as ambulating, hygiene, and emptying drainage devices. Maintain knowledge of equipment setup and use, including IV pumps and monitoring alarms, while initiating emergency support measures like cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Work on a 42-bed Medical Surgical Oncology unit at CHI Health St. Elizabeth, supporting a multidisciplinary team focused on pain management, early mobilization, and patient-centered education.
