Job Summary
Coordinate total nursing care for patients on a 45-bed primary surgical unit with subspecialties in general surgery, orthopedics, neurology, gynecology, urology, vascular surgery, and interventional radiology. Provide patient and family teaching, lead ancillary nursing teams, and manage care for elective surgical cases ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations with an average length of stay of three days. Utilize wireless telemetry for basic arrhythmia detection and maintain professional standards under the direction of the Manager, Patient Services or designee. Work the evening and night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am with weekend and holiday rotation at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent
- Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
