Job Summary
Coordinate total nursing care for patients on a 45-bed primary surgical unit covering general, orthopedic, neurologic, gynecologic, urologic, and vascular surgeries. Participate in patient and family teaching while maintaining professional standards across a population ranging from pediatric to geriatric, including interventional radiology and bariatric cases. Provide basic arrhythmia detection via wireless telemetry for surgical patients with an average length of stay of three days. Work the evening and night shift (7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) with weekend and holiday rotation, requiring current RN licensure in Massachusetts, BLS certification, and flu and COVID-19 vaccination.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent
- Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
