Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult medical patients using the nursing process, maintaining professional accountability and evaluating care effectiveness. Coordinate patient care with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Manage typical diagnoses including small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, cellulitis, diverticulitis, and pneumonia. Gain experience with frequent monitoring, care planning, and multidisciplinary teamwork. Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties

- Additional state licensure
- Specialty certifications
- Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
