Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult medical patients with diagnoses including small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, and pneumonia. Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and coordinate complex care while maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy service standards, including frequent monitoring and multidisciplinary teamwork. Requires current Missouri RN licensure, BLS certification, and ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk throughout the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Full-time 36-hour schedule with sign-on bonuses available for experienced and new graduate nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
