Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult medical patients with diagnoses including small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, and pneumonia. Utilize the nursing process to maintain professional accountability, coordinate care with other departments, and evaluate the effectiveness of direct care providers. Perform patient assessments, manage complex care plans, and ensure confidentiality while adhering to Mercy service standards. Requires current Missouri RN licensure, BLS certification, and an Associate, Diploma, or BSN in Nursing. Full-time night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
