Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult medical patients on Med Surg 5E, managing diagnoses such as pneumonia, cellulitis, and small bowel obstructions. Utilize the nursing process to conduct patient assessments, coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients. Perform duties consistent with Mercy service standards, including protecting patient rights and confidentiality. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift 50 lbs while standing or walking throughout the night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Full-time role offers up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
