Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for adult medical patients with diagnoses such as pneumonia, cellulitis, and small bowel obstructions. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care with other departments and evaluating the effectiveness of direct care givers. Perform patient assessments, manage time effectively, and execute complex care planning consistent with Mercy service standards. Requires current Missouri RN licensure, BLS certification, and an Associate, Diploma, or BSN in nursing. Full-time night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Nursing Diploma
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
- Night Shift availability (7:00PM-7:30AM)
- Full-Time employment (36 hours/week)
