Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult medical patients with small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, and pneumonia using the nursing process. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while evaluating care effectiveness and coordinating with other departments. Perform patient assessments, manage complex care plans, and ensure confidentiality of patient information. Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM in a full-time 36-hour week. Requires current RN license in Missouri, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Gain experience in multidisciplinary teamwork and core clinical skills within a collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
