Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for adult medical patients with diagnoses such as pneumonia, diverticulitis, and respiratory infections. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care with other departments and evaluating the effectiveness of direct care givers. Perform patient assessments, conduct time management, and execute complex care planning consistent with Mercy service standards. Requires a current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and an Associate, Diploma, or BSN in nursing. Full-time night shift rotation from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
