Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult medical patients with diagnoses including small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, cellulitis, diverticulitis, and pneumonia using the nursing process. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients, evaluate care effectiveness provided by other direct care givers, and coordinate care with other departments. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality while performing duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and service standards. Work full-time days shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
