Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for adult medical patients with diagnoses including small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, cellulitis, diverticulitis, and pneumonia. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments and maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information. Perform duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and service standards. Full-time, 36 hours/week, days shift (7:00am–7:00pm). Sign-on bonuses available for experienced and new graduate nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
