Job Summary
RN – Maternity (Night Shift) at Atrium Health Union in Monroe, NC. Provides direct maternal-newborn nursing care on a 3x12-hour night schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) within the Mother and Baby unit, using the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care. Collaborates with the care team, engages patients and families, adheres to safety standards and ANA ethics, documents accurately in EHR, and may float to other units within the service area. Requires knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and the ability to deliver age-appropriate care; must hold an active RN license and BLS certification. Preferred BSN may be considered for additional responsibilities or advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program
- Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state where the client is located (multi-state compact and/or single-state)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
