Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for populations in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, Pediatrics, NICU, or PICU. Maintain regulatory compliance, assume accountability for nursing outcomes, and guide unlicensed personnel in delivering care. Ensure positive contributions to safety outcomes and high-quality patient experiences. Requires current Illinois nursing licensure, BSN degree, and BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications. Minimum two years of recent inpatient experience in the specified specialties is required. Flexible per diem scheduling available across six northeast Illinois locations, including Day, PM, and Night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification through AHA
- 2-years current hospital nursing experience
- Experience in Labor and Delivery
- Experience in Postpartum
- Experience in Antepartum
- Experience in Pediatrics
- Experience in NICU
- Experience in PICU
- Minimum of 18 months of recent inpatient experience
- Ability to utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Ability to maintain regulatory compliance in individual practice
- Ability to assume responsibility, accountability and authority for outcomes of nursing care
- Ability to guide and direct assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering patient care
- Ability to positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high-quality patient experience
- Availability for Day Shift
- Availability for PM (Evening) Shift
- Availability for Night Shift
