Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for diverse populations in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, Pediatrics, NICU, or PICU. Maintain regulatory compliance, assume accountability for nursing care outcomes, and guide unlicensed personnel in delivering safe, high-quality patient experiences. This per diem opportunity offers flexible scheduling across Day, Evening, and Night shifts at various locations including Edward, Elmhurst, Evanston, Highland Park, Northwest Community, and Swedish hospitals. Candidates must hold an Illinois RN license, BSN preference, and current BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications with at least two years of recent inpatient experience. Endeavor Health serves over 4.2 million residents across northeast Illinois with eight Magnet-rated acute care hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- 2-years current hospital nursing experience
- Experience in Labor and Delivery
- Experience in Postpartum
- Experience in Antepartum
- Experience in Pediatrics
- Experience in NICU
- Experience in PICU
- Minimum of 18 months of recent inpatient experience
- Availability for Day Shift
- Availability for PM (Evening) Shift
- Availability for Night Shift
- Ability to utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Ability to maintain regulatory compliance in individual practice
- Ability to assume responsibility, accountability and authority for outcomes of nursing care
- Ability to guide and direct assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering patient care
- Ability to positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high-quality patient experience
