RN Manager - NICU and Pediatric

Job Summary
Lead the NICU and pediatric unit by creating a safe, complication-free environment where front-line staff provide whole-person care. Conduct daily rounds with physicians, coordinate patient care activities, and initiate team conferences to revise care plans. Supervise assigned nursing and ancillary personnel, completing periodic evaluations, coaching, and discipline as needed. Manage unit staffing by assessing daily requirements, authorizing overtime, and completing monthly schedules to prevent short staffing. Establish standards of care, monitor critical processes through audits, and develop strategies to improve patient and family satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- One year's leadership experience
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration
